01 — Residential Projects
Kijani Ridge Residence
Tatu City, Kiambu County
This residential design emphasises sustainable and aesthetic landscape design in Kijani Ridge, Kiambu County. The project involved site grading and construction of retaining walls on the terraced landscape to promote usability of the spaces. With the site being steep, the driveway and parking were designed to be comfortable to drive through and park. Hardscape materials were well curated to the client's preference — walkways featuring red bricks, earth-coloured mazeras stones, and cobblestones to blend with the house finishes. Features include green terraces, layered planting following the topography, mature trees, and beautiful garden views. Functional outdoor spaces include seating areas, pathways, a water feature, a pergola shade, and a private zen relaxation garden. Water conservation measures and biodiversity-friendly planting were prioritised.

Thome Residence
Thome Estate, Nairobi County
Located on a steep site of about seven metre contour difference, the Thome site provided a great challenge of integrating the villa to the outdoor space. Grading and site levelling was done to create different terraced levels, including the parking area. Gabion boxes and concrete retaining walls were constructed for soil retention. Clean architectural lines in planting, geometric hardscaping, lush lawns, and strategic use of accent plants and trees were the key highlights. Functional outdoor living areas included patios, shaded seating areas, patio swings, and a kitchen garden for fresh vegetables. Major hardscape elements include walkways, parking and driveway, a sunken fire pit area, and retaining walls. Outdoor lighting was curated to blend with the terraced garden, featuring uplighting, downlighting, recessed step/wall lights, and floodlights.
